Congratulations to Doubleday Service Technician Zoe!

Doubleday Group technician Zoe Parker has just completed her John Deere Agricultural Apprenticeship in Land Based engineering achieving the full Level 3 technician status.

The Land based engineers program gives practical time in the workplace along with times at college covering modules that include the theory of engines, electric systems, hydraulic systems on tractors and all types of farm machinery.

For Zoe, one of the great attractions of being a land-based service engineer is the variety of jobs she experiences, no two days are the same; one day you are working on a tractor, the next a Combine or piece of agricultural machinery, you can be in the workshop or visiting a farm. “I enjoy being out in the countryside & having direct contact with customers, it’s great to be thanked by them, and told that you have done a good job when they are up & running!

This job gives me a trade, & the John Deere apprenticeship has been very enjoyable.” Looking to the future, Zoe has her sights firmly set on more learning, both in the workplace & at the John Deere training centre & has set her sights on all levels of the LTA program with the final goal of Master technician status.

Congratulations from all the Doubleday team!
