On Sunday 30th April, Jonny Smith, Service Technician of the Kings Lynn depot, participated in the Kings Lynn GEAR' (Grand East Anglia Run) - a 10k run around the centre of Kings Lynn - which he successfully completed in just 46 minutes and 52 seconds.
Jonny's chosen fundraising charity was the 'Kings Lynn Queen Elizabeth Hospital Stroke Unit ' a unit close to his heart after his sister suffered a stroke just last year.
Jonny explained that 'it is with immense thanks to the unit that my sister is still here and has since made a full recovery. I have so far raised a total of £940 which I am really pleased with. Thanks to those that have sponsored me and should anyone still wish to make a donation then it's not too late!'
Charlotte Bracewell from our Accounts department, and her friend Stacey completed the Lincoln 5k Colour Dash on Saturday 14th May 2016 where they ran 5 kilometres whilst being splattered with every colour of the rainbow!
So far they have managed to raise £426 all in aid of the St Barnabas Hospice Trust (Lincolnshire) who provide palliative and end-of-life care to give dying people a good quality of life.
Charlotte explained 'it was great fun and all for a great cause - our Just Giving fundraising page is still open so if you would like to make a donation towards this very worthwhile cause then you can visit www.justgiving.com/charlotteandstacie
Any donations whatsoever would be very much appreciated.
A massive well done to you both !
